About Chance-restoration Project

Our Story

Our Mission

Our Mission

Simon  had done some work on Chance in the early 2000's and then lost contact with her for a number of years until a chance surfing of the internet one evening, brought about a internet chat with Chance's latest owner and his vision to restore her.

Our Mission

At Chance-restoration Project. We are committed to restoring Chance back to her original condition and layout and use her to teach people the skills to restore and maintain a classic wooden sea going vessel, so that skills can be handed down to the next generation.

About Us & Chances' Restoration

Chances'early years

This is a photo of Chance when she was called Token during her early years after Chance was sold by her first Owner and renamed Token which was a name Chance kept for a number of years until her present owner renamed her back to Chance has Chance was originally named.

How I find her many years ago

Under going  a failed restoration

Chance standing proud once more ready for her long overdue major restoration

Chance now blocked up straight and level and ready for restoration to begin by the Papendick Family and friends
